Respite Stays in Assisted Living Gain Traction

GLENDALE – WellAge Senior Living’s Vice President of Operations, Elizabeth Girling, recently authored a guest column for The Tribune highlighting the growing popularity of short-term respite care in senior living communities and the many benefits it offers both residents and caregivers.

Respite stays allow older adults who need help with activities of daily living to temporarily reside in an assisted living community. These visits typically last from a few weeks to a month, and sometimes longer, providing flexibility and peace of mind. Respite stays are especially valuable for families who are traveling during the busy summer months or need a temporary break from caregiving responsibilities.
